Concrete Seals

HYDROSHIELD WB has been primarily designed to seal masonry walls, concrete slabs, decks, walls, and abutments from both water and chloride intrusion while providing for water vapor transmission (breathability).

HYDROSHIELD WB Concrete Sealer is a solvent free silane modified siloxane which chemically bonds to the substrate. The highly hydrophobic chemical molecules are extremely small (17A) resulting in penetration depths of ¼ of an inch. This material is UV resistant and will not turn yellow, and provides a barrier to destructive carbonation.

▪  Chemically resistant to ice melting compounds, fuels, oils, and atmospheric containments.
▪  Inhibits effloresce.
▪  Increases freeze-thaw resistance in concrete.
▪  Prevents staining and discoloration due to electrostatic attraction of dust particles.
▪  Can be applied to damp concrete surfaces.
▪  Deep penetration into substrate.
▪  Provides a barrier to destructive carbonation.
▪  Treated concrete surface can be painted.

The HYDROSHIELD WB system may temporarily slightly darken the surface appearance of the substrate it is applied to. HYDROSHIELD WB will not alter either the color or texture of the surface.

All control, crack and expansion joint sealing should be done prior to the application of the HYDROSHIELD WB.

Do not apply HYDROSHIELD WB system when the air surface temperature is below 38 degrees F.

PRECAUTIONS:

▪  Do not allow this material to freeze. Do not store material below 38 degrees F. or above 125 degrees F.
▪  Shelf life is 6 to 12 months in an unopened container.
