Feel Excited Downstairs
Turn your unfinished
basement into more living space
I've been doing basement
remodeling since 1992. I'm a general contractor, and have
personally planned, designed, and built 164 basements at the
time of writing. These days, basements are all I do. The
pictures you see are basements I did. So I am an expert at
basement remodeling.
The biggest complaint I
hear is "My basement is unfinished. I'm wasting space and I want
it to become useful living space." Basement remodeling is really
the easiest way to gain more enjoyable space. It adds comfort,
utility, and even luxury to your home. You will feel better,
trust me.
Where do I go for
information?
Bathrooms and kitchens
are covered very well in books and magazines. You see them all
the time at home remodeling centers, and even the grocery store.
But not basements.
You see, not everyone
has one. You have a kitchen and a bathroom, of course, but not
everyone has a basement. In fact, in the southern states and
nearly the entire western part of the US there are not many.
A few years back I
wanted some good reference materials to recommend to my
customers. I wasn't able to find anything good. Even worse, much
of what I saw in the books I could find was advice that totally
went against my real world experience. They were written by
writers, not basement remodelers.
Finally a $14 guide to
basement remodeling
So I decided to do
something about it. I wrote the book. I offer it on the site -
it's cheap, so don't worry. You can download the book and have
it right away. Now you can have a basement remodeling expert -
you - running the show.
The basic problem
The basic problem this
book is intended to solve is simple. There is no good place to
go for a guide to basement finishing. Kitchens and bathrooms are
very well covered in books and magazines you find almost
anywhere.
But not basements.
There's a kitchen in your house, I am sure. A bathroom too. But
not everyone has a basement. So it's very profitable to make
books on kitchens and bathrooms. Basements are a smaller market.
Shame. They're so useful it's a pity not everyone gets to have
one.
Honey? What's upstairs?
I've forgotten.
When your basement turns
from that damp, dark hole that your wife doesn't like into a
beautiful, comfortable area, you may just forget what the rest
of the house looks like. Basements can have more than just
carpet and new paint. You can have
-
Kid's

My book shows you how to
plan and design all of these spaces.
It's interesting to note
that each type of area has it's own special requirements. In
Basement Ideas you'll see how to make each of these work for
you. And you'll have fun in the process. The problem solving is
really enjoyable. |
